Tuberculosis and drug resistance

Product Introduction

Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. When patients with tuberculosis cough, sneeze, or speak loudly, the droplets they emit may contain tuberculosis bacteria. People around them may become infected or even fall ill if they inhale the bacteria-carrying droplets. In places such as families, schools, factories and other places where people come into close contact, cluster epidemics of tuberculosis often occur due to untimely detection of infectious tuberculosis patients, seriously threatening people's health. At the same time, the drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis also poses a threat to the risk of tuberculosis. Treatment presents huge challenges.

The tuberculosis and drug resistance detection kit developed on the iFIND platform uses fluorescence quantitative PCR and fluorescent probe melting curve technology to identify the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. At the same time, resistance to rifampicin, isoniazid, and quinolone antibiotics was detected.
