RocGene (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis and rifampicin resistance gene test kit (fluorescence PCR method)

Product abbreviation: iFIND TBR

Detection Index: Mycobacterium tuberculosis renucleus group, rifampicin

Cat. No. : 10T/box – 10210001A; 50T/box – 10210001B

This kit adopts IS6110 and IS1081 dual-target gene detection technology, which significantly improves the detection sensitivity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The innovative application of the probe melting curve method realizes the full coverage detection of the rpoB 81bp region of the rifampicin resistance gene, and the determination of drug resistance is more accurate. It is suitable for various sample types such as sputum and alveolar lavage, and can meet the needs of different scenarios such as initial screening in general hospitals, diagnosis and drug resistance analysis in specialized hospitals, and provide reliable technical support for early diagnosis, precise treatment and public health screening of tuberculosis.

Current Status
According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Tuberculosis Report 2024, an estimated 741,000 new tuberculosis (TB) cases were reported in China in 2023, with an incidence rate of 52 per 100,000 population, ranking China the 3rd among the 30 high-burden countries globally (second only to India and Indonesia). Meanwhile, the number of multidrug-resistant/rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (MDR/RR-TB) patients in China reached 29,000, accounting for 7.3% of the global total, and the prevention and control situation remains severe.
Over the past decade, the global TB incidence rate has only decreased by 8.3%, far below the expected target. The report points out that the core reason for the suboptimal prevention and control effect is the lack of diagnostic technologies with high sensitivity, simple operation and better overall cost-effectiveness in primary medical institutions.
Against this backdrop, developing more efficient, convenient and cost-effective TB diagnostic solutions is of great significance for improving the early detection rate, reducing transmission risks, and enhancing the global TB prevention and treatment outcomes.
iFIND Solution
The iFIND Tuberculosis Diagnostic System provides an innovative solution for TB prevention and control with ultra-high sensitivity (10 CFU/mL), fully enclosed cartridge design and combined detection technology for resistance identification. This system not only significantly improves the accuracy of early screening and diagnosis, but its integrated closed-operation mode also effectively protects the safety of testing personnel. Meanwhile, it achieves simultaneous detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis identification and rifampicin resistance, and a complete report can be generated with a single test. In primary healthcare settings, iFIND fills the gap of high-sensitivity diagnostic technologies with its simple and safe characteristics. It is of great value for improving the early detection rate of TB, optimizing the management of drug-resistant TB, and promoting the achievement of global TB prevention and control goals, providing strong technical support for ending the TB epidemic.
