RocGene (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd.
Staphylococcus Aureus and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Nucleic Acid Test Kit (PCR-Fluorescent Probe Method)

Product Abbreviation: iFIND MRSA

Detection Target: Staphylococcus aureus and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Cat. No. : 10T/box – 10200163A; 50T/box – 10200163B

Based on multiplex PCR melting curve technology, this kit can quickly and accurately detect Staphylococcus aureus and its methicillin resistance genes, and achieve accurate identification of MRSA. This test has dual clinical value: on the one hand, it can be used for preoperative screening, timely detection of MRSA colonization, guidance on prophylactic medication, and effectively reduce the risk of postoperative infection; on the other hand, it can quickly diagnose pneumonia caused by MRSA, which provides a key basis for clinical anti-infective treatment. It is suitable for perioperative infection prevention and control and differential diagnosis of respiratory infections, and is an important molecular diagnostic tool to optimize the use of antibiotics and improve the efficiency of infection management.

Staphylococcus Aureus and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Nucleic Acid Test Kit (PCR-Fluorescent Probe Method)
Current Status
The problem of Staphylococcus aureus resistance is becoming increasingly severe. According to the 2021 report by the World Health Organization (WHO), the detection rate of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in clinically isolated Staphylococcus aureus strains has exceeded 40%, and even reached over 50% in some regions of China. Infections caused by MRSA not only significantly increase the risk of death by 64%, but also substantially prolong hospital stays. Clinically, there are two major challenges: preoperative screening for MRSA colonization (approximately 2-5% of surgical patients are colonized) and differential diagnosis of respiratory tract infections (the mortality rate of MRSA pneumonia is 30-50%). However, traditional culture methods take 48-72 hours, which are difficult to meet the timeliness requirements of rapid preoperative screening and emergency diagnosis of infections, leading to delayed infection prevention and control measures or inaccurate initial clinical treatment.
iFIND Solution
The iFIND MRSA assay can rapidly and accurately identify Staphylococcus aureus and its resistance genes. The system adopts a fully integrated closed cartridge design, achieving true point-of-care testing (POCT) with simple operation and no complicated preprocessing required. This solution not only meets the clinical needs of preoperative MRSA screening and infection diagnosis, but also provides an efficient management tool for hospital infection prevention and control as well as rational use of antibiotics, significantly improving the level of medical quality and safety.
